The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant. ~ Psalm 25:14
People have different views of the will of God. Some imagine the will of God as something that God effectively hides from us, sort of like a divine Easter Bunny who has a golden egg put away somewhere, and as you get closer, just maybe he will give you little hints.
For others, their concept of the will of God is that it is something horrible or undesirable, sort of like a diet. All the things you like to eat are out of the diet, and you can't have any of the good stuff. That is how some people see God. They think it is boring at best and miserable at worst.
Both of these views are incorrect, however. There is joy in being in the will of God. The apostle Paul wrote to Roman believers, "Then, by the will of God, I will be able to come to you with a joyful heart, and we will be an encouragement to each other" (Romans 15:32).
Then we are told in Isaiah 55, "You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song, and the trees of the field will clap their hands!" (verse 12).
There is joy and peace in the will of God. And when you are outside the will of God, there is misery and turmoil. The most miserable man or woman is the one who knows what is right and does not do it. He or she is even more miserable than a nonbeliever who has never heard the truth of the Word of God. When you know what is right and are running away from it, your life will be especially hard.
As a believer, you are a friend of God's. And He wants to reveal His will to you.

God's Moral Will
8) But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9) The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 10) But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. —2 Peter 3:8-10
Question: Is there stuff that happens in the world that God doesn’t want to have happen? There’s tons of it. Every day thousands of things happen that God doesn’t want to happen. Yet even though God doesn’t want those things to happen, He uses all of them to make happen what He wants to happen. Even though men make wrong choices, God makes right choices.
Let me show you a passage of Scripture that shows God’s sovereign will together with His moral will. His moral will represents how God has chosen to intervene or not intervene in our daily lives. For example, it says in 2 Peter 3:9, “. . . not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” Is that His sovereign will or His moral will? That’s His moral will because though God doesn’t want anyone to perish, some people will perish. Everyone won’t come to repentance.
The moral instructions that fill the Scriptures are expressions of what God wants or doesn’t want us to do. They tell us His moral will. But we disobey His desires for our best and choose what is not good. In the Ten Commandments and in all of His teaching, when God says, “Don’t,” He really means, “Don’t hurt yourselves.” We don’t get to choose about His sovereign will but we do make choices involving God’s moral will every day.
The Bible says a lot about marriage. It’s God’s moral will. And if you want to be in God’s will for your marriage, do His moral will. All of God’s instructions for living make up His moral will.
2 Peter 1:3 says, “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness . . .” Everything you need to make wise choices and do the moral will of God is in His Book. You can hear it from me or from someone else, but you need to study and confirm what you hear in God’s Word. All that God desires us to be and do is in the Bible. It’s God’s moral will.

What examples would I use to tell someone how I know that when God says, “Don’t,” He means, “Don’t hurt yourself?”
Prayer – Father in heaven, thank You that when we become Your children that You give us Your Holy Spirit to help us live up to Your moral will in a way we could never do in our own strength. Thank You for guiding, lifting, changing, and moving us forward toward the likeness of Your Son. Help us to follow the steps Your moral will has given to us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God Is Sovereign over Delays

Read ~ Proverbs 16:9
No one likes to wait, but have you ever wondered why? It's because delays show us that we are not in control. Someone or something else is calling the shots. Although we may be able to identify the immediate cause--like a traffic light or the long checkout line--ultimately the One who controls all our delays is the Lord. Since He is sovereign over everything in heaven and on earth, even our time and schedules are in His hands.
This means that in every delay, we are actually waiting for God in one way or another. You might have thought that the expression "waiting upon the Lord" applies only to seeking guidance from Him or an answer to prayer. But it can mean so much more when you remember that He controls all your day-to-day inconveniences and frustrations.
In the Christian life, learning to wait is vitally important because until you do, you'll never be able to walk in obedience to God, have an effective prayer life, or experience the peace of resting in His loving sovereignty. We must learn to trust His judgment--about not just the big events in our lives, but also the trivial ones which cause us to become irritated, impatient, or even angry. If we're sensitive to His instruction, each delay has a lesson.
The next time you face an unexpected or unwanted wait, remember that it comes as no surprise to God. He wants to teach you patience and increase your faith. He's more interested in developing godly character than He is in making sure your schedule runs according to your plans.

When Everything Goes Wrong
17)When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. 18( The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. - Psalm 34:17-18
Have you ever felt like nothing in your world was going right? When my kids were growing up, I used to read them one of their favorite books, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. You might be familiar with this story about a boy who experiences the absolute worst day of his life. We all have experienced troubles and know the feeling of having a "crushed spirit."
When circumstances are difficult, all too often this affects our attitude towards God and can also inhibit our worship. After all, why should we worship when it seems like life is falling apart at the seams?
The Psalmist gives us three profound reasons why we can worship the LORD even in the midst of the deepest valleys.
We can worship because He hears us. This does not mean He merely hears our cry, but this word implies action. God is so unlike us; when He hears, He acts. And He acts immediately! He does not sit idly by, but intervenes in even the most desperate situation.
We can worship in the midst of trials because we know the Lord promises to deliver us. Keep in mind, this word deliver does not mean that He will remove us from our difficulty. Isn’t it true that at times we cry out to the Lord but it seems as though our situation doesn’t change? Do not mistake unchanging circumstances for God’s lack of deliverance. His promise to deliver us is made evident in the way He sustains believers even through the hardest times.
Finally, when everything goes wrong, we can worship Him because the Lord is close to us. He is not a distant, uninvolved, uninterested God, but a loving Savior whose arms reach out to us in the midst of our brokenness.
Maybe you are in the midst of a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day, month, or even year. Maybe you resonate with the notion that in the midst of a valley, it’s hard to worship. Take some time today to thank God that He hears our cries, He promises to deliver us, and we can rest assured that He remains close to us even in our darkest moments.
Ask yourself these questions: Have I ever experienced a difficulty that inhibits my worship? Which of these three promises do I need to be reminded of; God hears my cry, God promises to deliver me, or God is near to me?
Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for being a personal God who is involved in my life. Thank You for hearing my cries. I want to worship You in the midst of this difficult time. Help me to see that Your promise to deliver me from trouble is Your promise to see me through till the end. Thank You for being near to me, especially when I am hurting the most. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It Is Up To You!
Scripture of the Day: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” ~ Romans 10:17 (KJV)
The ONLY WAY to get Faith is by hearing The Word of God. That means that you have to literally hear The Word of God and the preaching and teaching of The Word of God to get Faith!
Now, I want you to notice something in Romans 10:17. God did NOT say Faith comes by what you hear one time. God did NOT say Faith comes by what you hear one time a week. He did NOT say Faith will come when you hear The Word once a month or just the one time you heard the Good News when you got saved. NO! Faith comes by HEARING AND HEARING! “Hearing” is present tense! The Word Hearing is a continual and ongoing word! You cannot live by Faith on what you only heard last Sunday or last month! Faith comes by hearing and still hearing and again hearing The Word of God! You must be reading The Word DAILY! Why? Because the Times and the Last Days that we are living in, you will use all the Faith you received that morning by reading The Word of God by the end of your day!
When you read your Bible, read it out loud so that you can hear it with your ears. When you are in your car, listen to the preaching and teaching of The Word. When you are house cleaning, have the Word going in your ears through the radio or TV. When you are doing work outside, cutting the grass, getting ready for work . . . find ways to get The Word IN YOUR EARS! Read Christian articles and publications that will help you grow up in your Faith! Reading devotionals and Daily Teachings just like this and even reading it out loud will increase your Faith!
How do we not only keep OURSELVES from going under in our minds, but help OTHERS FROM GOING UNDER in these wearisome times? The answer is that we have to keep ourselves in a place and mind set of Faith! We have to maintain a LEVEL OF FAITH that is requiring us to go deeper and yet higher in God and in His Word! Our Faith Levels must increase as the darkness, heaviness and weight of the enemy increases in these Last Days! We have got to have such a Level of Faith in us that we will not lose hope, that we will not go into the despair that the enemy is trying to bring! Our Level of Faith must be High, so that we can see the things that we are having Faith for come to past! The devil wants you and I to not have Faith. He wants to STEAL your Faith and when he steals that, he takes your HOPE, and then he’s took your Faith in what you were once CERTAIN of. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is being SURE of what we hope for and CERTAIN of what we do not see.” And when the enemy has stolen all of this, he just made you stop waiting and having Faith for what God said you could have!
Yes, Bride of Christ YOU Are Responsible For Your Faith, The LEVEL Of Your Faith and The Power Of Life and Death You Bring Forth From Your Tongue! Decide today to increase your Faith! Determine today to raise your Faith Level! For, in these Last Days your Faith Level MUST be on a higher plane for not just you, but for you and those around you! And only you, Church, can do this! Only you, His Righteous, can decide to go higher and carry out the Will of The Father and to Live by Faith! Church, renew your minds, for the level of faith that you live on IS UP TO YOU!

The Throne of Grace
Read Hebrews 4:14-16
Almighty God is righteous and just. Romans 3:23 tells us that all people have sinned and are inadequate to be in His presence. As a result of His wrath against sin, we were doomed to eternal separation from Him.
But thankfully, the story doesn’t end there. In His love and mercy, God sent His Son to walk among us. Jesus experienced the hardship and temptation common to all people, yet He never sinned. The Savior chose to die a gruesome death in our place, paying the penalty for our wrongs.
There is no deeper love, Scripture tells us, than a man who gives up his life for a friend (John 15:13). Jesus went even farther—dying for us while we were still His enemies (Rom. 5:10). In fact, He would have sacrificed Himself even if you were the only person ever to exist.
Promising forgiveness and eternal life, Christ asks sinful man to believe and follow Him. When we trust in Jesus, we are adopted as God’s children and receive His indwelling Spirit, who blesses abundantly with joy, peace, and guidance. Always welcome before the Throne of Grace, believers have access to converse with the Father at any time. He promises to hear and respond to our seeking, repentant hearts. And Jesus intercedes for us, praying on our behalf.
We don’t deserve the Lord’s invitation to have an intimate relationship with Him. Yet in His grace, He is loving and compassionate toward us. What a privilege to be able to approach the King’s throne, knowing He listens, understands, and cares. Rest in God’s love, and enjoy sweet fellowship with Him.

Got some chips?
I have received thisstory a few times and I love it. Maybe you've seen it before as well. Enjoy!
A little boy wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with a bag of potato chips and a six-pack of root beer and started his journey. When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old man. He was sitting in the park, just staring at some pigeons. The boy sat down next to him and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the old man looked hungry, so he offered him some chips. He gratefully accepted it and smiled at him.
His smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered him a root beer. Again, he smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word.
As twilight approached, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave; but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the old man, and gave him a hug. He gave him his biggest smile ever..
When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, "What did you do today that made you so happy?" He replied, "I had lunch with God." But before his mother could respond, he added, "You know what? He's got the most beautiful
smile I've ever seen!"
Meanwhile, the old man, also radiant with joy, returned to his home. His son was stunned by the look of peace on his face and he asked, "dad, what did you do today that made you so happy?" He replied "I ate potato chips in the park with God." However, before his son responded, he added, "You know, he's much younger than I expected."
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime! Embrace all equally! Have lunch with God.......bring chips.
Remeber that God still sits on the throne. You may be going through a tough time right now but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that only He can. Keep the faith & God Bless!
Here is the prayer:
Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and even my enemies(my addition), reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings. In Jesus' precious name, Amen.

Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings. In Jesus' precious name, Amen.
